Not quite sure about that sandman thing Shelly
somehow it makes me skin crawl to think of it; must be shadows of some film or other!  As a piece this is exquisite my friend; many blessings and thanks always

When I was a child, mother always sang us a beautiful little Sandman song and it always made me drift off to pleasant dreams.

Great poem Sammy... All of us who have had issues with that Sandman know what you are talking about.  I can't complain because He is brought me some beautiful dreams but is his absence I suffer more for... Your poem is an excellent illustration.  Bravo
