Re: Don't know anything about Twilight but Diana Gabaldon put my life
Exactly, Kabu, she and Patrick O'Brien (who knew that a woman would be carried away by sailing books?!?!?) stopped my life in its tracks while I searched out each new tome.

Re: benzinha, what book is this?
Greenfields,
The Twilight series of books. They are the latest rage for avid book readers here in America. Not quite like Harry Potter, but written for young highschool aged girls, but the women are all buying and sharing them now.
They say, the young women, not to read the books as they make you very disatisfied with the chivalry, behavior and protective attitude of your husband or boyfriend. His, Edward, the protagonist's behavior is unreal and setting the girls up to never find a real man, while searching for this fantasy fellow here on earth and outside of books.
They also say that the movie disappoints too because a very human actor cannot possibly rise up to the imagined fellow of each reader's fancy.
Just say Twilight to some young woman who reads American books and she will tell you all about it.
