Not Aramaic, logic and truth.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: mousehop
how do you figure you will faceHim with more calm and confidence than I will? And why would I not understand what you will say to Him? Are you going to speak Aramaic?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: mousehop
I suspect that should I ever come face to face with Jesus Christ, I will be able to face Him with more calm and confidence than you will.  As for what I would say to Him, you wouldn't understand it.

Re: Re: Re: Re: mousehop
You should be frightened. Very frightened. When you are facing Jesus Christ at the Last Judgement and He asks you why you would not believe in Him, what will you say?

Re: Re: Re: mousehop
Hm.  By your arguments, I should simply decide to believe something, something with which you agree, and then stick to it, regardless of such things as experience, reason, and evidence?  I have to admit, I had more respect for you than that.  Unlike you, I am not frightened by fairy tales, however loud you shout them.

Re: Re: mousehop
my point is this: human beings are beings of faith. We believe what we want to believe. And you will ultimately be held responsible for what you have chosen to believe about God's Son one day. But until that day, He will provide you with many chances and opportunities to believe.

Re: mousehop
For you to assume that I assume people are bloodless or robotic is, well, kind of insulting.  Pure objectivity is not, as you imply in your statement, possible to humans, but neither is it necessary to an increase in knowledge.  But if I want to bad enough, I can, of course, look at the documents myself.  To deny facts simply because their discoverer may be biased in a way of which you disapprove is not merely folly, it is frankly dishonest.

Yes I have read Bible scholars. But scholars are human beings, are they not? Therefore, they are capable of bias and agendas. For you or me to assume they are bloodless robotic purely objective purveyors of information is indeed an act of faith.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Odd reading
An odd use of the expression 'article of faith'.  Have you ever read anything written by a Bible scholar?  I mean, they look at old copies of books, and describe what they see.  That isn't an act of faith.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Odd reading
The Holy Spirit inspired the Bible. He is the Origin. Please do not waste your time by telling me the usual atheist article of faith that it is a bastardized, raped, pillaged, and multi interpreted collection of man made horror stories and fables.  Happy '09.

Do you know the actual origins of this Bible your so fond of?

Re: Re: Re: Odd reading
This is the problem. Deepness and complexity does not equate to intelligence and insight. On the contrary, dumbasses make things more complicated than they actually are. The Bible is much more simple than you think it is, and your comments are like a chewed cud that keeps being spit back in my face. A cud that has been chewed and recycled by generations of arrogant fools like you.

have you ever heard of KISS?

Re: Re: Odd reading
You seem to apply the same depth to reading my comments that you apply to the Bible.  Maybe I should feel honored . . .

Odd reading
And here I thought the central message of the Bible was that you should massacre your enemies and mock your critics.  Or is that just what people who claim to be following the Bible do?
