Sad eyes shining in the truth of grieving. This will pass.Recognition is the beginning of healing.

Can the Smile hide the pain
in the heart?

Just posted a piece on how I (oftentimes) read a poem. In this case, I just started traveling thru the 1st 2 lines because I like to be startled out of my wits, and made aware of the jagg-ed juxtapositions I have within myself, and Im thinking, "hey, here's a voice talking to myself"

As the poem developed--and I do know something about the necessity of an outer form and time--and I do realize that not every poem is especially written for me--until I reached "smearless truth". I guess that's when I realized this is no shoe shine, but a whirlwind that could blow my socks off.

I don't remember too much after that, though I presume the ongoing voice of the poem did complete itself...and not that I'm actually lost wouldn't mean that you shouldn't send out a search party.

What insight you have!  Terrific poem, I know a lot of people that do this.  New toys are fun, but they aren't what makes that genuine happiness shine on.
