Re: why I use the name benzinha

My sweetest rescued, half wild, desert pack dog, off of the O'Odham Indian Reservation west of Tucson at San Xavier Mission, the 500 year old Spanish Catholic Mission built by the O'Odham....

my sweetest rescued dog, a white small little angel, was named Benzinha and she had just passed away when I joined Blogit and I used her name to remember her daily. She was my "Small Good and Beloved", renamed to represent her new and better life of ease with me.

Re:

Bhaskar.ing, the food was too wonderful and for the first time, there wasn't enough for me to take some home to eat for days afterwards. Bummer.

I am not Indian. I am an American mutt like my new president. I am many things, but mostly Scottish and English and some other very interesting  things thrown into the mix in smaller proportions.

I have lived overseas and the word 'benzinha' is Portuguese and it means beloved. A literal translation means "small good".

Thank you for reading and for commenting and the best in the new year to you, too.

Hello benzhina, wish I were there to partake of the delicacies, kishmish pulao and the Korean dishes. Great, you enjoyed. Are you Indian? benzhina sounds African to me. All the very best for you and yours and a Happy New Year .

Darling, it takes my breath away when I read about the mini UN that is your family. How truly amazing and wonerful. And I wish to thank you for your comments. Actually the idea of writing about the residence experience is a GEAT one. I'll try that and let you know what happens. And I'll deal with my visitors the way you suggest. Can you please tell me what that 'pot' is you mentioned? All I know is a wok, but that's not the same, no?

Re: Do they make spiral ham by chasing the hog around the pen in one direction?

Poor piggies, I love to eat them so. Spiralling is such a great new schtick.

There is an almost whole ham left in Mom's fridge and I walk by, taking a slice each time. Eat it cold and there in front of the door, so that she might accidentally accuse others of this and not me.
