Well said, Ariala!
Love covers a multitude of sin, love is the greatest, the two greatest of the commandments are that we love God and we love our neighbor, and if they love not, they know not God.  Thank you, Bren

no... but then no one can make me feel bad about myself... except me
and I love me.

I respect your thoughts on religious people brow-beating others. Some religions do that, but people with a genuine relationship with God shouldn't. Religion is man-made while the new life in Christ is offered by God. As difficult as it, (believe me I have had my share of well-meaning religionists), we must have the heart of a lamb and the hide of rhino. I like the illustration about believers being fishermen of men. "You catch and God will clean them!" Keep sharing!

Sometimes people, especially religious zealots,
project their assumptions upon others without having a full knowledge of what that person has been through or what circumstances have brought that person to where they are.  Respecting and trying to understand alternative paradigms is vital.

Religion is man's way of reaching God. To reach God His way, we are to rest in Him. Honestly there's nothing we can do to impress Him to our side of things. We have to sit completely in Christ. I have a hard time with the religious things of this world. I believe folks are becoming more like Pharisees and Saducees than they want to admit! What I do love is a Father that I can turn to, tell Him honestly how I feel (He knows already anyway!) and to know He accepts me no matter what. The way God reached out to us is through His Son. Thank you so much for getting the neurons fired up this morning! You're wonderful!

No. They make me feel uncomfotable and nervous
not in a bad way though.  When my mom died I was around a lot of religious people.  Don't forget, most of these people who grew up with mom were brought up in a strict religious environment.  God and faith were talked about a lot.  I felt uncomfortable cause I didn't really have anything to say since I don't practice my religion anymore.  Also being numb through the whole thing didn't help either.  I still believe but don't dwell on the subject if that makes sense?  Also, I know in my heart that my mom is with god and her family.  That's all I need to know.

Corbin, it's rather expected of unbelievers, but when it comes from
believers, it breaks my heart.

Not at all........
But there sure is a heck of a lot of "non-religious" people that try real hard to make me feel that way........

LOL, as if they would have a snowball's chance in hell of accomplishing their goal!!!
