No other religion shuts down the whole country on it's holiday like Christmas and Easter. I am no Christian but I recognize it's a Christian founded nation.
The fallacy in your whole arguement is pointed out by Corbin saying a Nun would be asked to remove her head-gear as well. And I guarantee as a liberal (automatic caucasian/christian hater) you would not be posting an article about her rights being violated.

bottom line the woman did not even need to be in the court room period. she had the choice to just turn around and walk away period. she choose to show her ass period. it has nothing to do with religion period.

respect for others' religion should be the mark of any person of religion, in particular Christians.
instead, you want yours to prevail and others not to.
If this were a religious-run country, like many Muslim, or like Europe in the Middle Ages, you would fit right in.
But this is a secular country, where expression of religion is a right, and favoritism toward one religion over others should never be tolerated
if you want your religion respected, then you should respect others' religion
somehow, by your words, you don't seem to want that.

It isn't discriminatory........the rule is "No Headgear" and it is equally enforced on everyone....PERIOD! I know you liberals look at laws as things to be selectively enforced or interpreted depending on the cause.........here's a question for you would you be saying the same thing if it were a Nun??? I really don't think so.

I was with her until the end of the article:
"When she turned to leave and uttered an expletive, Hall said a bailiff handcuffed her and took her before the judge." While clearly the court needs to just get a grip (honestly, like she's hiding a machine gun under the scarf, right?), there's no need to get nasty.
and one other thing....did the previous commenters just assume that this woman was born outside of the United States, or is it my imagination?
