Yes, Kabu, you did blog on this subject. I read your post and you are right in so many ways.

Thanks for taking the time to read and to write.

Re: benzinha

I dunno, WileyJohn, I have read the young fellow's story and it has been a painful one, mostly caused by the USA and he could no longer keep it all inside himself.

Maybe I empathize too much, but I am not so sure that it is true. I would forgive him his trespasses as I would hope that they would learn, someday, after we leave, to forgive us ours.

Re: Its also about people not knowing how to channel their anger

Greenfields, the fellow was mentally unstable in some ways, in some controlled ways, and had to publically do something with his mental anguish. Poor thing. I pray for his serenity to return and for his nation's also.

Bush, I fear, does not warrant my prayers for his serenity as yet. I pray that he feels anguish and deep sadness over his choices for quite awhile. His mental and emotional problems chose his path for him as the reporter's chose his.

We are prisoners of our emotions and must fight them minute by minute to keep them civilized, I know.

Re: Journalist is being charged with insulting a visiting head of state or such
majroj, I am hoping that he gets the minimum punishment or a full reprieve as he had been through too much in his young life and had to do Something or go mad.

Re: the idea of shoe throwing was to show disrespect

Xeno-x, I fear that this was true and he was being shown disrespect, finally, all over the world.

Heads of state not shaking your hand are worse than a distraught reporter, though less dramatic, unless you are older and know that pain of being ignored and shunned publically by polite society, suddenly impolite.

Thanks for your input.

I felt terrible for the president and I hope that clown gets jail time, for a long time.

Its also about people not knowing how to channel their anger
and wanting publicity.  IN some ways, there is such a de-humanisation taking place all over the world, unde the guise of freedom of expression.  It's actually license, not freedom.

Journalist is being charged with insulting a visiting head of state or such
Wonder if the ink dried on that before they arraigned him?

the idea of shoe throwing was to show disrespect

a lot of people in the Arab world are calling him a hero

Herr Bush hadn't been given his due disrespect until then.
