Read it with a lot of interest

I never knew about the difference between European systems of government and that of the US until I read this. Clearly, the more a system restricts government, the better. The US Constitution relegates all powers not enumerated therein to the states and the people; but even that explicit provision can be eroded in time, as exemplified by the minimum wage law. By relegating more power to the people, a system such as the US requires constant vigilance by the people themselves.

I wonder how this culture of vigilance would work in the Muslim world. As you clearly explained in this blog, the Muslim system of theocracy runs counter to this culture of questioning the authority all the time.
