My pool versus darts situation is the exact opposite. I'm pretty good at darts (at least I was when I played regularly), even joining a couple bar leagues and entering blind-draw tournaments for cash prizes (not big money when I placed, usually just enough to cover my bar tab). If my wife enjoted the bar scene and I continued to play often, I daresay I would've become damn good. Now pool, on the other hand. I know how to play, but saying I play is a bit of a stretch. Sure I can sink the easy shots, but placing the cue ball in the proper spot to set up the following shot is beyond me. Whatever the threshold is between good and mediocre, I can't cross it. Hell, I can't even find it.
