You wrote in your post that the Bible was written by a Council under a Pagan ruler of Rome, what is your source for this information? Are you sure it's accurate? My understanding is that the books for the Bible were chosen under the Second Nicean Council, books that were already written, and all other accounts not included in the Bible were burned.
How could a council of over 1000 people (you said that there were at least 1000 who were politically swayed) sit down and collectively write a book as long as the Bible? That's logistically impossible. It's hard enough to get that many people just to make a single decision.
I agree that Christianity has been distorted by being taken over by Romans and used for political means, but if you are going to make such an assertion, make sure you are reading good sources and making an argument that is logical and well-founded.
I respect that you are investigating religions and belief systems, this is especially remarkable for someone your age. May your endeavors draw you ever closer unto the ultimate truth.

I admire your willingness to get involved with anything( politics and religion) that might be controversial and not worry about whether or not folks toes are going to get stepped on. you didnt step on mine, so i am not included in that list.
The world is in need of more Peters. Peter, in the bible , you recall was also an outspoken person.
