I'm refusing to refuse emoticons...lol
I've noticed this as well. Sometimes I really just don't know how to comment on someone's blog. If I don't feel like I can give them something "genuine", I still like to let them know I was by and read them. Sucks when you're not permitted to do that.

I use emoticons because it is sometimes hard for me to type.

I didn't know you could turn off the calling card feature...
And I do look at them every few days. I've even left a couple on blogs where someone else has already made the brilliant, insightful comment I was going to leave. :)

I had no idea this was even an option
It's nitpickyness...in my opinion.
I've never been offended by just an emoticon or two...or three...
This is actually one of those things that keeps me from commenting much. I feel like if I comment, I have to say something of value, and a lot of times I don't feel like having to think that much, I just want to enjoy reading and would like to just leave an emoticon or two...but I know that it can be frowned upon.
And for those that have the calling card feature...well, I just haven't gotten used to that and usually forget it even exists.

I don't understand that either, I wonder how and why they're refusing comments? I love the emoticons, they add so much character.

I didn't know either that you could refuse emoticons!
I wouldn't know how to do that,

and even if I did, I wouldn't, 'cause why would I

I'm searching my mind and can't come up with a good reason why I would.

Or even a bad one, for that matter.

Maybe that's because I haven't thought about it long enough,

or hard enough - I just don't know...

Oh well, maybe I'll find the answer some day...

, or somebody tells me...

until then, I'll just let it ride...

Wait...do you mean the calling card thing?
I noticed that some bloggers don't have that feature.

or am I missing something?, lol. Personally, I appreciate any and all responses; well, unless they're just downright mean.
