probably Britain is a bit different than the U.S.
seems civil partnerships over here are a bit more difficult and a bit more expensive than marriages. That's one reason for approval of marriage.
and what is wrong with a gay couple adopting a child?
there are a lot of products of heterosexual marriages out there that are threats to society.

My only problem with homosexual marriage is that it would allow the happy couple to adopt children...
