No Change Really From Obama
From the Populist side of things, this is not at all the way to encourage farming and farmers, so I would say nix the whole program in favor of any one of several alternatives that are actually fair to farmers. Consider the subtreasuries or Huey Long's Every Man a King from the standpoint of the farmer.

I would also nix the aid for the financial and auto sectors.  But I am consistent, not a partisan politician, and this is what disgusts me about the whole attitude of the Democrats.  They repeat ad nauseum their mantra that Bush is the worst President and blame everything on him when they were right there with him passing the laws.  I feel the same about the "liberal baiting" of the Republicans.  These appeals to partisan passions not only leave me utterly cold, they are proof positive that the incoming Obama administration will be more of the same.

For my part, I intend on running for Governor of New Jersey and, if elected, intend on setting up a separate economic system in the Garden State, cordoned off from the Great Depression in the rest of the country.  See my blog for some details, some in verse, of why I feel certain that we are heading there.
