Love you ma'am for this. Budding poets can learn to communicate better with minimum fuss if they read you with attention. By the way cant forget the 'thunderous tremolo'. Very apt and poetic.

Deeply felt, Goodbyes are recognized when the heart is ready to move on. This poem had me wondering, and pondering the sadness of it all.

holding on....
I really enjoyed reading this....it makes you think about the thing(s) that you do hold on to....and for what reason.

We do hold on
as if we'd lose ourselves if we didn't.

But we do, don’t we – we hold on for such a long time as if we might lose our identity if we finally let go.  It’s a peculiar human characteristic.
