I love it. I was so immersed in it.

I am no one to advise but I do feel that you should be proud of what you are now and where you are headed. You are on the right path. What you've left behind is worth discarding. What lies in store is worth treasuring! You're one of the brightest and the best souls on Blogit. I mean it.

Sam
Sometimes we just have to say the word “no” a little louder – perhaps not out loud, of course, but just to ourselves.  But then we tend not to listen to ourselves….   You’re poem reinforces how we must utter the word in order live our best.

This is superbly done! And for me, it has a terribly familiar ring to it! You will understand why, if I tell you that my screen saver consists of six words that continuously and slowly float across the otherwise empty screen, 'What are you waiting for?'...

The ending note, [I tell myself o’er and o’er again]
Somehow ‘no’ should have been enough
Somehow... ‘no’ ... should...
which is an almost chocking of words overcome with the remorse of not having said no, has been done marvelously. You have such fine mastery, amazing!!! Very powerful!! I am proud of my loving sis!!!

The power of "no" is directly proportional to the softness of heart :)....

Superb Sam... if we only listened to our "no's and if our "no"s would be heard and heeded... Life would be simpler and nicer...wouldn't it.  Excellent write.  I hope you had a great Thanks Giving. My 2U and 1000000 xo :-)

"No" is never enough, it seems....
....no matter how much I say it to myself.
I like the message in this, sam.
