Truth is
no one really knows and understands what another person believes, until they have believed it themselves.
That's why in christianity Jesus instructs us not to judge, or we will ourselves be judged.
I have had to learn this over time.

the main problem is that the views are so disparate
that it is quite difficult for a person of one view to understand a person of another
