This makes me want to run again...
Thanks for your insightful post. It makes me want to strap on the running shoes again. I used to run a great deal through high school and college and into middle age, but have been hobbled in recent years by a bum hip. It's definitely an activity that you never stop missing, once you have it in your system. Writing is the same sort of thing. It's compulsive and somewhat painful, but we do it anyway.
