Re: Well if all the men are expectong an eternity of virgins I guess my section
Kabu - too funny. . . . But I have always wondered about that; these muslim martyrs we hear about being promised 72 virgins . . . where do all these virgins come from? Certainly not from my neighborhood.

. . . and none of that black tar type of beer they drink over in England. Sheesh, they call it the
"golden nectar of the gods" for a reason.

HA!
"That would be "you" as opposed to me. I say "what happens when you die" because I already know what is going to happen when I die"
Ha, I was glad to assist you in your previous blog. LOL! You had to change that one some, huh? Or should I say eh?

Re: Xeno-x - yes I was baptized, given a saint's name and all of the other
I think I am guaranteed a place.
Made the "saved" altar call at a Baptist church when I was 16.
Got baptized (non-mainstream fundamentalist 7th Day type sect) when I was 22.
Then got confirmed as an Episcopalian when I was 32.
Do I have all the bases covered you think?

Maybe we could have a taste
of some of God's homemade beer together. I hear it flows like a river.

Xeno-x - yes I was baptized, given a saint's name and all of the other
things that "guarantee" my entry into the happy hunting grounds.
That's the absurdity of it all. As long as any of us subscribe to any of a long list of man made rituals, that no so coincidently involve adhering to one specific religion, we supposedly have it made.
Too bad for those prostestants, muslims, hindus and anyone born before these religious traditions were invented, or for those born in the wrong countries, the poor saps.

My understanding is that you, Gomedome, will indeed enter Heaven
I am assuming that you were baptised, right?
So you have it made, no matter what you believe subsequently -- right?
Others, though, will say that you and all, Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Episcopalian, Mormon, Jehovah's Witnesses, and other such Christian people, will not because they haven't "accepted Jesus".
But since your Christianity predates all others, it must be right, right?
