Troosha, Magg's grumpiness is definitely part of me!

There are times I am feeling grumpy and unsociable, and when a little bad attitude adds some definite dimension to the game, as long as it is understood all around that it is the character being rude, not the player.  I warn the other player about her temperament before giving a taste of it.  She can be quite rude.  Never crude, but rather self-centered, and she loves fireworks.  She horded them and would do about anything to get more.  She still has them, though the game-makers have now made fireworks generally much more available to everyone.

She had in mind setting off a big show, and someone suggested it demonstrated her real generous nature, under the rough exterior.  I say, she just likes to see things burn!

Rector, it is amazing how many 'worlds' there are in Virtuality!

TAPS,

It really is part of the fun, to get attached to your avatars.  Some people strictly role-play, engaging in no Real World chat while playing.  If someone says, for example, "Where are you in the game?" the reply is "What game?"

I like role-play-- It adds an extra dimension of fun.

I somehow knew you’d be a “Magg” (not because of her grumpy nature but because she’s a hobbit).

It does sound like fun - but time consuming. My daughter has an online kingdom called Bexville (or something like that) which she rules with an iron will...

Fund descriptions.  I really enjoyed reading and picturing each character.

Hi, Hazel!
It can be too much fun!

It can be dietetic--
though not in a healthy way: you can play for hours without realizing how time is passing in the real world, until suddenly you realize it is well-past the time for a 'bio-break'--you tell your fellowship, 'brb' and head off to follow the social advice of Alice Roosevelt: "Empty what's full, fill what's empty, and scratch where it itches..."

This sounds like so much fun.  But I hardly have time for the world I actually live in!  I'm writing this as Jacob (16) is behind me, talking into a headset and shooting aliens on TV with back-up from his remote friends.  But now, I have to start dinner, which I cannot do with an avatar!  Mal
