Welcome to Blogit! I admire your heart and intent....but I do think you're dreaming that human beings will ever be free of prejudice as a species....it exists in all forms for a reason; it seems to be in the nature of "man" to feel the need to be one up on someone....whether for their color, gender, sexual orientation, size, shape, accent, educational level, economic level, sports ability, drinking ability....whatever, you name it. That doesn't mean we have to be nasty and mean to one another or deny one another equal standing in society in terms of law and opportunity. I hate to be pessimistic.....I am optimistic about most things....but, I just think it seems to have always been here....sometimes well disguised as envy or pity or a myriad of other actions and reactions. I've come to the conclusion that perhaps it is one of those things God expects us to overcome as much as we possible during our earthly experience ......hopefully, more will come to that realization than not.
