Re: to merkie

Thanks, merkie, for comment - to choose is a luxury for too many, that's one of my intetions with the poem. Yes, we all want to live best as possible but, it isn't enough with choosing to be happy, it may even make situations worse - integration of a reality sometimes need sadness as a choice for making things better -  - genio

We have to choose to be happy by knowing that the things to worry about are things we can influence for the better. Should narrow the field somewhat?!

Re: to TAPS

Thanks, TAPS - yes ... finding the way isn't easy all the time. Wouldn't it be fantastic to : don't worry - be happy ?

It's waves, always waves, sometimes long ones, other times short ones ... but to follow the movements whether they're on the top or the bottom, are close to being taught about life from life itself -  - genio

Re: Being happy is the most important thing my friend......... - to mariaki

Thanks, mariaki - I don't disagree about being happy is important, but ... I see you refer to Sinome and I'll do the same to you with my answer to Sinome.

It happens horryfying acts in this moment too many places in the world. We can choose to close our eyes or we can at least give it some thoughts ... and by giving it a few thoughts, now and then, we'll know that happiness is a precious gift not for everyone ... and we could maybe inform others about it ... in the long run it would help.

To be without conscience (suppress it) isn't a good 'thing' for anyone -  - genio

Re: to Sinome

Hi, Sinome -  who doesn't want to be happy? Who doesn't want to throw all the worries in the bin? - but ... the poem is about being realistic. It's unfortunately not everyone in our world that's lucky enogh to be happy, far from it, but ... if we reckon those who are in a situation that they can be able to be happy we still have the 'burden' that we're humans with experiences, conscience, thoughtfulness etc. and I 'll say that's very good.

To try not to worry too much ... yes - and be aware of situations, people etc. that give the opportunity to gratitude and happiness and, further experiences in that direction ... yes, of cource.

Being aware of what happens in our world, even if it don't necessary happens outside our door, sounds sound to me (I could mention "tons" of injustice, violence against women, children, races etc. but I think you know what I mean) - maybe we (humankind) one day can manage to grow up and let happiness be for everyone? -  - genio

Great, ggXpress.  Everyone has questions.  Not many have answers.  Everyone is doing the best that they can to find the way.

Nothing foolish about not worriying.  If we can do something about it then there is no reason to worry and if we cannot fix it then why worry... and there is nothing foolish about being happy.  Being happy is the best  :-) So, don't worry, be happy seems to me like sound advice
