This is outstanding. To me quality is more important than quantity.

Re: Taps
Troosha, I hadn't thought of it, but over-thinking gets me in trouble quite often. The harder I mull on something, the more useless I get. It's better for me if I just write off of the top of my head.

Re:
auslander, I remember that it was good for me when my old computer gave me lots of trouble and I finally quit using it. I did a myriad of other things, and I made trips to the library to use their computer. The time limit there for computer use was one hour a day, so I had to stay write with it and work quickly. That was good for me--time limit, but I had forgotten all about that since I got the new computer that gives me no trouble at all (yet).

Re: You could get a puppy... plenty of exercise of all sorts!
Hmmmm, Ciel. Pitiful took on a gray squirrel that came onto our deck from somewhere yesterday to eat dropped birdseed. It wasn't pretty. I'm not sure what she'd do if I brought a dog in here. She thinks of it as her domain.

Re: I surely do love Blogit and all of my virtual friends
gapcohen, I keep saying that I'm going to have Son #3 raise my computer to counter level so that I can do my computing/blogging/emailing/googling on my feet. I think that would keep me in line both hours-wise and butt-wise.

I surely do love Blogit and all of my virtual friends
and we love you, too. Though I'm certainly familiar with the "fear of big buttedness" that accompanies all this blogging. It would be great if someone could invent a "Wii" like blogging site, where you have to move around to write posts. Wouldn't that be great?

Your “over” list had me thinking like OTA’s list of 14 so in keeping with that… over-thinking leads to missing out on the moment. In the morning, when I blog, I sit and look out through the fir trees and the now bare Garry Oaks and watch the beautiful colours in the sky as the sun rises. It’s extremely peaceful and has become quite a ritual for me. Sometimes I return to Blogit in the afternoon for a short peek but for the most part I set aside this quiet time in the morning to read and write and then get on with my day (with real people

LOL, Pat_B. They say it's never too late, but....I just don't like the exercises that tighten up the gluteous maximus. My mind is not over THAT matter.

good point, because in some ways I have become that old lady with a big butt and dim eyes, but after working all week I dont like to leave the house unless I have to. My daughter and I use to walk the dogs at least 3 x a week and now it gets dark sooner and she has a new friend she doesnt find time for us so, I stay content in my room in front of the computer. besides this is a easy way, for now to look for a job

Re: TAPS
Nautikos, I'm not religiously inclined to keeping a schedule, now that I'm retired. That's my downfall. I just sort of do what I want, when I want. Not good. Not good. It allows to much leeway. Better than nothing, but not as good as it could be.

Since I have to be on my computer a lot in addition to 'Blogit time', I have long since instituted a rigid routine - working out at the gym five times a week. I allow myself two days off, either on weekends or during the week, although in the summer there's often a long bicycle ride as well... All that changes when I am travelling somewhere, but then I'm not much on the computer either...

I've been thinking the same thing, Taps. But nature is conspiring
with the 'puter - turned cold, rainy. It's easier to stick to the walking routine on bright sunny days. Guess I need to quit looking for excuses and be more active no matter what. As for the big butt.... too late.

This is exactly why I have my own unbreakable rule my friend
the computer never gets turned on at home on the weekends; not just for blogging reasons but as I work all day on one I make myself find other things to do at the weekends if need be so as not to spend my weekend in front of a pc screen; there is so much more to life! Many blessings and thanks
