when people ask me about my sister (the one we did the intervention on) I just say "we had a falling out". we were so close and went everywhere together until she started gambling. but people have told me how she has ripped me to shreds - along with the rest of us who desperately tried to help her. i guess it is her way of dealing with it - she doesn't have a problem - we do.

I think they did it to deflect any blame they may have to assume! It is always easier to pawn it off on someone else! I am proud of you for keeping the business in the family! You did the right thing! sam

I know what you mean.
I have this lady in my office that just loves to talk behind the palm of her hand.  Gossip is a horrible, horrible thing because the clarity and truthfulness quickly becomes lost as the tale moves from one party to the next.
