That's great.  I've never been there, but my Sis always said that it was so much like The Missouri Ozarks in the summer.  You make it sound beautiful, except for the heat and humidity.  Lovely poem.

It's funny how scents take us back...  When you get back there again, I'll bet you'll find you haven't entirely forgotten.

I lived my first two years in San Francisco, and pretty much forgot it, but there is something about the scent of eucalyptus, when I visit now that tells me I'm home.
