Oh, Taps
I've been away for a few days (from bloggit, not home) and missed this - but I'm glad you are feeling better. Nothing worse than a gallbladder attack. The first time I had one, I thought I was having a heart attack! Keep drinking that tea! And I was cracking up when I read of your favorite snack food. For the past few days, I've been inhaling Cape Cod potato chips like they're going out of style. I HAVE TO STOP!!! Mal

Re: I am close friends with the heated corn bag, myself.
LOL. hazel_st_cricket. With winter coming on, I would hate to be without mine, although, it really needs a new cover. Do you know what happens to the corn if you wash the whole thing with corn in it?

Krisles, I am feeling better this morning, just being careful about what I take in. Thank you for caring. I'm glad you don't have trouble with yours anymore. I had a gallbladder attack back when I was about 40. Then it didn't bother me for about 30 years so I got careless.

I had mine out over 13 yrs ago....I had had only a few episodes that I didn't even realize were gb related (nausea) and then one day I had an attack that I thought was another heart attack...it was stones and I had to have mine out right away...never a problem since. I'll assume you've ruled out stones with the doctor since you are a smart lady....I wouldn't want you to ever experience them. Good luck with the natural cures, I know many of them work....please keep us posted as we will thinking of you.

Ariala, Thank you for that information. Right now the only apple juice I have is in a mixture of juice with the third ingredient apple juice. I'll have to get some pure apple juice.

Taps, I cured my gall bladder issue with a glass of apple juice daily for
six weeks, recommended by my naturopth chiropractor. He was right. It worked! I now drink it with my meals several times a week (as a preventative), especially when having a meal with too much fat. Hope you feel better soon.

Sympathetic pains
My wife had her gall bladder out. It was a miserable nine months before the problem was diagnosed properly, with repeated attacks. I'd go with the doctor visit, and the laproscopic surgery, I think. The gall bladder doesn't do all that well at healing itself. Poor design.
I hope you get fully well quickly, whatever path you choose.

Aw, TAPS!
Sorry to hear you're at odds with your gall bladder. I believe the surgery for that is a lot less intrusive than it used to be--and if you are like me in this way, I have to ask--are you absolutely certain that's what it is? Maybe you've popped a gasket or your implant slipped...?

OOOH Taps my heart goes out to you. I hope this passes quickly but i do think a doctor visit might be a good idea. If nothing else to keep the doctor aware that you have had an ATTACK! I will be thinking of you.

Taps
You poor, dear…. Having lived with someone who had gall bladder flair-ups I’m familiar with a couple of “must dos”; the need to drink plenty of water and increase the fiber in your diet (and yes…avoiding all those fatty foods we so enjoy). It is also recommended that you start your day with a healthy breakfast. You probably know all these but I just thought I’d mention them just the same. I hope is subsides soon, Taps.

You poor thing!
Sorry about your agony, it sounds dreadful, I hope you get better soon. Is fasting helping? I was suffering from terrible, chronic and persistent heartburn for a while, and got rid of it by juicing a big head of broccoli and a big lump of fresh ginger, together with some apples. I drink it over a couple of days. Boy it was strong, but it really helped. I know it's not the same as gall bladder, but I hope your own remedies prove effective too.

You know best what you can deal with Taps, how much pain you
can stand. It might be a long time before your gall bladder attacks you again. But ... well, you know. Better safe than sorry, maybe get your doc to take an x-ray so you'll have an idea of the scope of the problem. I hope you're feeling much better now. :)pat
