Actually, they are simply admitting that Obama has only been on the national stage a short time, and that there are serious limits to what one can learn about a candidate during a campaign. Ask them what they know about McCain, you'll get a similar answer. sure, we know about McCain's votes in the Senate, and that is a longer record, but who would he have chosen for his Cabinet? Based on his VP choice, it's anybody's guess.
But we will learn quickly some of the missing bits about Obama. First off, he chose a conservative Democrat as his Chief of Staff. I call that a good beginning.
