I read what you wrote ...
... from some days ago ... hope you'll be better.
I use to reflect on why karma ... and these kind of things ... when depressed thoughts thunder down and put my feelings out off order ... following my own destruction and the crash of my hopes and ... it helps. I believe it's the reality, the honesty towards myself: 'nothing to lose' and to surrender to the 'nothing' that makes the wave turn again.
