Pat, people create email addresses and fake businesses daily to rip

people off...then they seem to disappear...I just wrote to the guy

"Since I haven't heard back from you, I'm assuming you have some sort of fraudulent scam going on and are asking people to write your reviews but aren't paying.  I just want you to know that I'm publishing my reviews online today and if you try to use them without paying, you will be committing plagiarism.

If I don't hear back from you or receive payment ASAP, my assumption will be confirmed."

What was that you said the other day? No good deed... something?
I hope the deadbeats come through with your hard earned dollars. If they don't, after a reasonable time, would it be creating more problems than it solves to name names? Or at least file a complaint with the better business bureau or someone.  I don't even know if the Web has a complaint department...

Nautikos, every time I accept an assignment online, I wonder if the
people on the other side are honest and will come through...a time or two I've been had.

Oh ugh...
...I had a contract with a magazine to print an article in their Oct issue.  When it didn't appear I contacted them and they said that it is still to go in but they don't know when.  $500 too!

So sorry to hear this; hope they pay, even if a bit later. It is really frustrating sometimes.

Ariala
Disgusting! But how does one ultimately guard against that sort of fraud? I guess only by digging into their background...
