Hmmm...
Very interesting observation.. I actually experience a little different situation (for some of your points).

My group of friends in high school was 10 boys and 4 girls. Once one by one we were married, we got to know each others' spouse more. Now, every time we are organising gatherings, I find it more helpful to discuss things with the girls and the boys' wives, than the boys themselves.. Similar thing with my husband's circle of friends..

I won't say it's a cultural thing, but, I find it interesting that other people experience differently..

Women out live men so that they can have a few years peace.  Just                             kidding, sorta.  Society is the problem and what it excepts.  It doesn't matter what religion you are or are not, if all people would think of every one else instead of themselves every one would have a better life. Who ever said life was going to be easy and you had to be happy ever minute of every day.

In my opinion, the simple answer is that we are all frail human creatures. We will never be perfect, man or woman.

Men are men and women are women. That's your answer to most of your post. Biology.

Women still lead more domesticated lives. More sheltered. Estrogen. Which cat lives longer? The indoor one or the outdoor one?

Men die sooner because we lead harder, more aggressive lives. We run our bodies harder. Adventure, misadventure and such and such. Testosterone.

If we succeed in our endeavors we're heroes if we fail we're idiots. That's men.

Screw worrying about offending people. Let your thoughts go. Restrained thoughts is why we have lousy art/social conditions today.

I'm in politics and poetry if you want a look.

These same questions have crossed my mind more than once. I have lived through some of them. Still no clue as to an answer! sam
