hmm is it about taking a negative stigma and turning it into a symbol of pride? or maybe it's about stereotyping

it's enjoyable either way

I agree with Rumored... clothes do not make the person but... how we react to someone is subconciously influenced by the way the apear to us. For example if we are in an elevator and someone well dressed in a business suit or nice dress comes in we do not blink ( unless they are very handsome in which case we might wink ) but I digress... if the person coming in is dressed as a street person, dirty or ripped clothes...beard and messy hair... I don't know wnyone that would not feel a little nervous to be in a close space with them...not because of what or who he is but rather because he fits a certain mental image that we have of a possible dangerous person. The poem speaks of something different though... do we look down on someone because of the way they are dressed? Not me, perhaps not you, but some do , unfortunately and sadly. Great thought provoking poem.

Indeed I gave many clothes to a former homeless man. I get a kick out of people in places where I used to frequent, seeing some of my signature clothes on him love*** And he does my heart good
