Lots of people admire the recent work of Bill Ayers, while strongly condemning his past terrorist activities. Just as lots of people admire Senator McCain's recent work in the U. S. Senate while strongly condemning his early corruption involving Keating and the S & L scandal. But many of us trust Obama's judgment more than McCain's, both because he shares our view of what direction our nation should take and because he stays cool under attack, and doesn't call world leaders like Vladimir Putin names right after stating that one should talk softly in international affairs. And as unlikely as it is that Obama will make good on his promise to cut as much in spending as he proposes in new spending, his proposals are much closer to reality than McCain's. His tax cut proposals are beyond ridiculous. Better a tax and spend liberal than a borrow and spend magical thinker.
