Mal, I think I will plan a nice thorough top-o-the-season trip next fall.
One place I'd like to visit is a place in the Finger Lakes region, called Fork Lake, I think.  It was one of the most beautiful forest trails I've walked ever--I was 7, I think, with my parents.  It was a walk-in or boat-in primitive campground.

Thanks, Naut--I will definitely give you a heads-up when I come to Toronto

again... I haven't been to the moons of Jupiter since my last visit there, about 20 years ago.  Is there still a spaceport in the CN Tower?

Ceil-  I was just up in Lake Placid last week and the foliage was past-peak.  Buffalo, is southwest of LP - so there might be some peak viewing left.  In any case, it's a beautiful drive, even if you just get those few brilliantly colored leaves clinging to nearly bare trees.  Mal

Haven't been in Buffalo in a while. Actually, you might meet more Buffalonians in Toronto than in Buffalo, at least those who come here for the barbarism of civilization and advancement, lol. And if you come to Toronto and give me some advance warning, I'll show you around and buy you a drink or two...

Hey, I simply prefer Buffalo anyday to most other places in the US
People there seem lest touched by the barbarism of "civilisation" and "advancement"
