Re: Re: Re: Re: Clarification of the Obvious
He expressed my views perfectly of how I see society these days.
This quote hardly suggests either an appreciation of sarcasm or any understanding of raising children, considering the "views" it refers to. I acknowledge that your experience will have taught you a great deal about children, but you have yet to learn about what happens when your children reach maturity and begin to express independence. I hope your actual beliefs are more reasonable and flexible than your writing. So, you're right, I should have said you seem to know little about raising adults. But maybe you'll learn. Being a wild-eyed liberal, I believe anyone can learn and improve.
As a warning about the future, I take humor as a starting point for discussion, like just about everything put on a blog. But I won't defend defense attorneys, especially in your case. Be they liberal or conservative, they defend the narrow interests of their clients and themselves, even at the expense of justice or the interests of society as a whole. I'm sorry your daughter was a victim of abuse by a babysitter, and I commend you for taking on the burden of her care. I wish you and your children all the best in your future.
But I'm still proud of my nose-piercing, purple-haired, vegetarian, liberal genius of a daughter, even when she disagrees with me.

Re: Re: Re: Clarification of the Obvious
My wife and I have a beautiful ten year old daughter who is handicapped and an six year old wonderful son. We know much more than most people about raising children because we have many more challenges. As a liberal you spout off at the mouth without thinking. Our daughter is dependent upon us for every daily function due to a babysitter shaking her when she was 5 months old. I know how things are all too well because I have been there, got a damn t-shirt too. Do you understand that? I have experienced the system and how it works and I have experienced worthless liberal defense attorneys who need to be held accountable to the ultimate fate because of what they do for a living. You do not have any damn reason at all to tell me about not knowing what children are like. You are part of the problem because you can not understand anything but some liberal crap. You can not even understand a joke! Go away and get out of face, you are using air that I could be breathing!

Re: Re: Clarification of the Obvious
I acknowledged it as a joke, but you said he is 100% right, as if what he said made sense and should be taken seriously. I am not surprised to learn you went to college, but I said a good college. And clearly you have no idea what is involved in raising children. As for us worthless liberals, we are winning, not just this year's elections, but the battle for the future. Indeed, your right to spout insults is liberal ideal, so keep it up as long as you like. You can deride us all you want while practicing out teachings. We'll just laugh quietly at the irony.

Re: Clarification of the Obvious
Dear Mousedroppings,
I am a college graduate, so I did spend a few semesters in college. I can not believe I have to explain this one as well. IT IS A JOKE! There are parts of it that are very true but overall it is meant as humor, you know laughter ha ha he he? I have kids and no I would not dismiss them because my children will not grow up being worthless liberals and/or democrats because they have been raised to believe in God, with ole fashioned values and virtues and not some liberal crap of today. But hey, ole fashioned values are just not cool with you liberals becuase you think you know a better way and obviously you don't.

To chastise and deprive anyone for having thoughts adverse to your own only reinforces what that one believes. It is more prudent to discuss and convince. Remember that most of us who are now cautious and conservative were once wild and destructive. The disruptive college student becomes the influential entrepreneur and political leader - on all sides of the spectrum.

Clarification of the Obvious
I believe you identify with this stuff, and some of it is funny, but maybe it's a good thing he never had kids. I doubt anyone with kids could be so isolated from reality as to dismiss 18 years of relationship after one semester apart, which is what that letter suggests he recommends. Maybe he, and you, would benefit from a few semesters at a good college.

This country would not be in this shape if there has been more discipline before now. When I see six and seven year olds with a cell phone I want to kick their parents. Raw and extreme as it is it is good. Be blessed.
