Lots wrong, however, with breaking the law in how it's done. Whether the illegal actions come from ACORN policy and leadership, or whether they simply have a lot of overzealous ignorami who don't know or care what the law says, if they're breaking the law they are subject to prosecution. Saying there's nothing wrong with how ACORN is petitioning and registering regardless of their tactics is like saying there's nothing wrong with driving regardless of what side of the road you're driving on.

...yet these loose cannons were left in their positions to create this kind of problem? Maybe ACORN should screen their volunteers better.

that's the particular reason I posted this.
to demonize an organization for the actions of a few individuals
the main people in ACORN are permanent employees -- they then recruit people to do things like register voters -- it's the lower levels that do this -- loose cannons so to speak-- it is certainly not agency policy --

Your pals at ACORN have done some serious misdeeds! It's called FRAUD!
I'm sure that ACORN has done some fine work over the years but this tax funded supposedly non partisan group has done a tremendous amount of damage to its reputation by registering dead folk, cats and who knows who else and then telling them to vote for Obama. Not smart. Your obama crazed pals, it would seem, have gone way overboard in their enthusiasm to use whatever legal and illegal means possible to get him into office.

I cannot see this nation coming together to fix anything any time soon and it is what MUST be done and now..........sad and frustrating and discouraging for an oldster like me....but, the family motto is Gang Furd, so I will keep moving forward.

Somw folks are so blindly certain their ends are blessed--
that they can excuse and justify using any means to achieve them. Obviously, the Other Guys' ends are not so blessed, therefore anything like such means as they excuse in themselves are inexcuseable in the Other Guys.
