Re: I am grateful to the pollworkers - at every election there are

I know, Pat_B, and it has to stop and I'm hoping that more and more citizens will volunteer to keep their eyes on the prize at each new election opportunity to be less than honest.

They have already been deleting voters who are foreclosed and "no Longer" at their former addresses. They are still allowing their computer programs to continue deleting people now, within the prohibited 90 days prior to an election date....so many failures, so little 'vigilancia'....It feels like Togo sometimes....or Zimbabwe.

I am grateful to the pollworkers - at every election there are
Republicans and Democrats, and the ones at my polling place are neighbors. I thank them for their service and appreciate that they make everyone show their identification. As for those bags with no seals -- he was right to question their legitimacy, and should have called the cops himself. It was the guy who wanted to put the questionable ones in the vault who should have been hauled in.  Arizona isn't the only place that stuff happens -- here in Illinois there's been a joke for the last fifty years about the number of voters who come in from the graveyard.

Re: Hey! I am a pollworker
I am so proud of all that you do, homegirl, so very proud. Thanks for all that you do for your family and for your country. You are a shining example of how more of us ought to strive to be, cuz even when you're bad, you're pretty good, heh heh heh.....

Hey! I am a pollworker
I am currently preparing my heart for the abuse of from people who come in and want to campaign in the poll place and talk on cell phones and think that all of the rules that are posted are for everyone except them.

I am also looking forward to all the people who come in with the intention of voting and making us pollworkers smile.

Re: Ah, Intimidation

Thanks mousehop, and I hope that I have inspired some others to call their county elections offices and request a class schedule for the two hour or so training sessions and then follow through and actually register to be poll watchers.

It is beyond important this year that the elections be honest and true and not as they are in so many other countries.....which we are slipping into the habits of....corrupt and ballot stuffing and election stealing, integrity robbing and just plain out of touch with voter reality.

Ah, Intimidation
Isn't that the American way?

You go, girl.
