The Sun!
The "ancients" were, in my opinion, every bit as intelligent as we today are, although considering the ancients to be simple-minded and ignorant does serve the vain and conceited purposes of some. EXploring the often complex and astounding inventions and tools of the "ancients" leads me to an entirely different conclusion.
The Sun has life or death power, and the ancients saw this then as we do today!
