Thank you for showing that you do have integrity and are not going to sink to the level of the conservatives who spread these kind of things as being fact without doing any research at all on them, even after they have been proven to be 100% false. It has to make you wonder when so many of those voting for McCain show themselves to lack such a basic level of integrity.  That says a lot about the kind of people who McCain attracts.

Re: Be careful and don't sink to the level of the Conservatives here

Kooka, I shall write a disclaimer at the bottom and then send an email to the woman and ask her if she actually wrote it.

If you google her name, all of her contact info appears and it is the same as the phone numbers and email, etc. contact that was at the bottom of her letter, which I removed before posting.

I shall write to her and if it is not so, I will definitely remove it, substituting an apology.

However, being from Arizona, I have seen the man at work and he is very abrasive and domineering and "Lives Large" as though he were the Emperor's son or something. We peones are not to criticize as he was tortured in his past and must now let him be repaid by allowing him to do whatever to  make up for that.

It is a terrible email, so I will make the time to investigate from the source, the woman who supposedly wrote it.

Thank you for your comment.

Re: I've met some arrogant, domineering old veterans who think

Pat B, I did go so far as to Goggle her name and found that all of the contact info on the email was truly hers.

I did fail to contact her to ask whether it was from her or not. I should, no?

Re:

vogue,

I have met some really ugly people in life, politicians or no, but the ugly politicians do feel omniscient and are really scarey sometimes.

And the people who ask, do you know who I am, or feel that they must tell you who they are as an explanation for their poor public behavior really need some counselling.

Be careful and don't sink to the level of the Conservatives here
While I would not all be upset or surprised if what you posted was true, I do have my doubts.  It just feels too much like propaganda.

Right now snopes.com has it listed as undetermined, research in progress. I do ask that you keep checking here and if it turns out true, then this really shows just the kind of McCain is.  If it however turns out false, I hope you will show that you have more integrity than the conservatives here on Blogit and retract that post, apologizing for passing along such misinformation.

So far whenever I have confronted a conservative for posted these kind of things after they have been shown to be false, they defend themselves in prompting lies and such. I will be checking up on this myself and comment again if there are any changes in the validity of this information.

I just don't wish for any of the liberal minded people here on Blogit to sink to the sad levels of desperation I have seen the conservatives sink to during the campaigning.  I hold myself at a higher level than that and I know that the other liberal minded people here have more integrity than then the McCain backers.

I would suggest that you edit in a small disclaimer at the end of the post explaining the validity of the information is at this time undetermined.

Politicians are never what they show ...

I've met some arrogant, domineering old veterans who think
they've earned the right to make loud criticisms of others -- one comes to mind who loves buffet restaurants, takes baggies along to scarf "leftovers". I saw him tell some woman to get out of his way in the buffet line, and when her husband objected, he said "do you want to bleed or do you want to eat." His adult kids won't eat out with him any more because he invariably insults someone in every situation.  Consequently, it's possible this story has some basis in fact.

I cannot believe that any politician would make such comments in public, vacation or not. And McCain was certainly not about to commit political suicide. On the other hand, why would the lady have made it up? Very very difficult to judge.
