Re: Millions of Americans need to call their congressmen/women

Pat B, that Jesse reference dates you, hee hee hee. Kids won't know what we mean.

But he was an honest robber and that is why the simple people helped him out some. He WAS honest and up front about it.

These back room deals are beyond tiresome and bordering upon treasonous, considering what they are doing to their own nation, bringing it down, and they defeat our nation and will truly destroy us one day, if not corralled, getting back to referencing the horse riding times, once again.

I want self-regulation to stop. Ever since it began, it has failed as a concept and we little people pay to fix it all, and the bankers know that, it is all set up to fix things that they mess up, over and over again. I like accountability, transparency, oversight, regulation and vigilance over greedy bastards, first and foremost.

What a reason for nationalization of things again. Now, THAT will send RedStatesMan over the edge, hee hee hee. Sometimes, I write things just to test people's blood pressure.

Crazy Hugo Chavez is leading a movement, well, leading many movements, but my favorite movement of his crazy self is his "Let's Tell America to stay out of our countries' politics and economics and unite against them".

We have personally set that up, nurtured that hatred and re-enforced it and now, he and his followers in other nations want to just cut us out of their equations to facilitate their own self preservation. I had a presidential friend in Central America for awhile and his "American demands" stories were amazing. OF course, I suspect that he was setting up his own post presidential income ideas as he worked.

Ask the Scots and the Bank of Scotland this week about what American banking culture has done for them. Their greedy bankers follow American models and screw their own, just as readily as our own do now, spreading AMERICAN money culture around the world. The good news is that there is now another generation which knows the real us and will be wary of us.

We are losing international friends and allies and we often deserve to. It is playground mentality as its simplest. You get tripped, pushed, lied to, punched or have your lunch money stolen often enough and you either (nowadays) report the bully, or totally stay away from him and his nasty friends (or her and her nasty friends).

Thanks for your Jesse reference, I enjoyed going back to those wild times, remembering that this has always been so, hasn't it?

Re: Michael Moore

Dear RedStatesMan, as I understand it, you can only hear red voices, speaking red words about red solutions and cannot ever embrace any ideas that are not within your parameters.

I am hoping for another America wherein We Work Together to Fix this Mess and where all voices are heard, where voices are not labelled red or blue, where people are not dismissed for superficial reasons, without attention being paid to them.

Red and Blue, becomes Grey and Blue, becomes civil discord, becomes civil unrest, becomes civil wars of words, becomes civil physical attacks, becomes civil war.

We are one nation, messed up and healed by our own people and they are not red and blue people, they are Americans.

IF we only listen to one side of every issue, we miss some very interesting and valid points being made by the other side of the issue and also, issues don't just have two sides to them, they are multi-dimensional, as should be their explanations and solutions.

Re: hooray for Michael Moore

Xeno-x, he is villified for what he says as are those people on the right.

I tend to believe him more than Limbaugh. I am prejudiced, however.

Millions of Americans need to call their congressmen/women
and tell them no deal to the greedy.  Self regulation! What a crock.  We had a saying back home about greedy bankers and insurance frauds: Jesse James used a gun. At least he was honest about it.
