benzinha - I have a problem with the "free" part as well but when there is such a trade off, my arm can be twisted.
I'm still having problems with abbreviating the pre-sales process. I may write a bit of software that allows some manipulation of template concept images. My brain thinks it has a clear path from what I want the software to do and how to write it, so I may give it a shot.
This would allow persons interested in a store to do a little graphic work themselves. That is basically what transpired with the store I am just finishing.

Once the client saw this image, everything was hunky-dory.

being paid to do what we love, heaven, I think.
I asked online for some graffitti artists to come help out at the ObamaFest today, to volunteer like the rest of us.
Only one wrote back and he wanted to know why he should work for free. How could I explain how much publicity and how many networking contacts I have made by doing artwork for this one festival? How could I tell him that he would have had his name in the paper and his face, too and on the t.v., well, too much to explain to a fellow who didn't even include his email, just wanted to vent.
So, I spent the day today, doing what I love and doing it for free and networking so well.
