14 year olds, I have one granddaughter that age and one grandson 13 and
they are the strangest bunch, but reachable and thinkers and that's good.
He's keeping you on your toes and more engaged than you had previously believed.

I love that kid! He nicely pierced the myth that children live in a
separate, somewhat insulated world. They're right here with us, taking cues from all the things we see and do and are, making decisions about what it means to them. It's a lucky kid whose parents encourage learning. Mom did that. And on another note, the Palin thing is a bit of a whirlwind in my mind even now. That choice says so much about the republican presidential candidate's judgment, nothing healthy.
