Taking Comfort
You should take some comfort in the fact that, so far, the Great Bailout is giving your money to the investors, and not the unwitting home buyers, those "unwilling to work". It is the middle-class supporting the wealthy, the socialization of risk. The rich get to make a killing, and when their investments go bad, the taxpayers kick in to minimize the losses. But the working class slob still loses his house. That's not quite capitalism, but Marx would have a fit over it.
