Secondary gain...we can stop propping up "oil-igarchies"
Well, probably not, but it's tempting. A lot of our subsidization of low gasoline prices is through the DOD.
How about strip mining dumps for recycleables?
Oh, and we need to retrain our national selves to work for a living.

A Good Start
I don't know about the numbers, on jobs especially, but emphasis of resource efficiency is the key to continued success of our economy. So let's put the costs of resource extraction on the industries where they belong, and not on the taxpayers' bill.

Wow, mind boggling, indeed, Benz! I like..
Can I add a bit to beef it up to the point where we can afford to educate our children, create a true work motivated society (actually producing things, not just paper illusions) and invest in businesses that invest in their employees, instead of constantly adding more millions to the CEO's wallet..make the defense budget
sane by ceasing to wage profit-for-the-minority, death/destruction-for-the-majority wars.
Good, thought provoking post..Thank you.
