It's true what you say. I feel less inspired this month. I think it's called charging batteries.

Thanks, and a hat-tip to everyone who has responded here!

Seems to me, it all comes down to going with the flow--Sometimes I am primed to be stimulated by what I read, and to respond, other times, just not.  Sometimes I want to tell the world what I think, other days I hope no one asks...  Seasons and the weather affect me, without a doubt.

I left Blogit about a year ago, for several months.  Since coming back, I've discovered some relationships here that I value more than before that vacation.  My relationship with all of you has changed,  as I have more confidence in sharing more of myself with less concern about approval or welcome.  What I have learned here about that has had a benefit in my face-to-face relationships, too.

So while my own stimuli to write, to read and respond may ebb and flow, I expect to be here in the foreseeable future, and to look forward to meeting with you here--just like my friends and acquaintances in the world beyond Blogit: sometimes it's a hearty conversation, sometimes it's a wink and a wave...  but always a real and meaningful experience!

Encouraging
I'm encouraged by this, Ciel, since my ratings have seriously plummetted! Of course, it may be that I'm writing rubbish that nobody finds interesting, but I'll go for the cyclical explanation!

There may well be a cyclical, seasonal rhythm to this whole Blogit experience, though I find my reading and especially my writing hampered by a chronic lack of time (chronic? Chronos = time, at least the God thereof, who is apparently not granting me enough, lol; and this is I talking, who doesn't believe in time?)

And yes, there is that other factor. One of the issues I feel passionate about and have addressed, and which, in fact, I am addressing currently in 'Naut's View', finds discouragingly little resonance...Though I shall not allow myself to be discouraged and keep writing, if with less enthusiasm than if it were otherwise...

No,  I think Ciel has something there,  I do feel more inspired in the Autumn but it is a kind of reflective inspiration...more turned inwards like she says... the weather is nicer so I like to go for walks and sit by the sea which also changes at this time,  becomes more choppy, less placid, as if it were reflecting as well on the emotions of a summer that went all too fast.  I too have noticed the apathy around.  I think it was Troosha that first called my attention to it...a few weeks ago with a post about lesser clicks.  Not to mention that some bloggers have become more aggressive, picking fights and the like... I don't know... I am sure it will pass ,  everything does eventually.  Great post Ciel

I'm neither less inpired nor more inspired though I do find that when a season changes my writing takes on a slightly different shape.  It's as though I align with whatever is happening outside my window.  For me writing is simply part of my daily routine.   I shuffle over to my computer around 6:30AM, say good morning to Mr.T who is doing is morning surfing of news, etc. before he goes to work, and I begin to write.  I then spend about and hour reading.  It's simply been my routine for a few years now.  I'd like to see a vibrant newbie join the crowd.  That's always fun to watch....

Ceil, I think definitely it's a cyclical thing..not that I'm a veteran of
many years, but based on what I've seen in 2+ years.....

What you say is true about me.  It is almost a chore to sit at my computer these days to send/answer emails and to blog.  I want to be about doing other things.  I think the cold of winter will bring us all back.
