George Burns will never be replaced!
I too am semi-retired, I only drive my meal route for three hours a day. This income is supplimented by a small check for being Marilyn's caregiver and renting out my house. I may continue to deliver meals to other geezers for the rest of my productive life because I need the income and I enjoy the job. I have NEVER actually enjoyed a job before in my whole life, and I have had dozens and dozens of jobs over my 45 years of running in the gerbil wheel. As you observed, "It ain't half bad!
Another brilliant comic and social commentator that I mourn the loss of, is Groucho Marx. He was a contemporary of Will Rogers and I think that he could have met Mark Twain during his lifetime if their paths ever crossed. Wouldn't you have enjoyed listening to those two giants talk to each other?
