- Go to Heels for Babies...come on, how ridiculous are we?
I also agree with you that there is a time for everything.....

Yes, this is what the political campaigns call the culture wars. I applaud you for being on, in my opinion, the right side.

Miaella, I love your parenting style. I bet you're a fabulous mother. You appreciate children as they really are and should be, which I find truly endearing.
I always went straight to work on my babies' new clothing as soon as I got it home, ripping out itchy tags, laundering it to soften it, etc. And I hate jeans on babies! Babies are supposed to be soft, cozy, and innocent.
As for girls dressing too old, gawd, whenever I pick my kindergartener up from school I feel like I should be averting my eyes. There are miniature she-women running all over! It makes me feel very uncomfortable seeing that. I mean, seven-year-olds should never dress to show their cleavage. Period.

Always comfort and coziness!!
I don't like to see babies in jeans or any kind of pants that are tight at their waists. I love the fleecy stuff and the onsies and the pjs. Organic cotton is so soft! It's the best! As if humans don't have the bulk of their life to dress like adults! Keep 'em comfy!

Mia
It's a though we want to children to go up quickly - dressing them in almost provocative ways. It's nuts! Children a meant to be rumpled, comfortable, and child-like. I cringe when I see some of the stuff being sold for, say, a 4 year old.
