Kabu
You are a masterful story-teller.  (As Pat said each detail of your descritpion of Sarah's outfit was a delight to read).  Isn't it amazing how many changes have taken place in only one century!?!?

Nice work, Kabu! Especially love that outfit and your description of it.
It made me think of illustrations -- etchings, not photographs, from the old Godey's Ladies Book, a fashion catalog from that era. Our home econ teacher brought some old copies to our sophomore class once, and they were fascinating. Corsets and bustles and ruffles... I saw somthing on the tube that ruffles will be "in" for spring. Too bad I'm so addicted to tee shirts and comfortable jeans.

Are these stories from your grandmothers life?

It was fun reading it and it was so sweet. I always like the name Sarah. I also have few id's with the same just because i like it. Waiting to read more.

Did she herself tell you all these incidents? Keep writting.

Love,

Amy

What a life your grandma Sarah had Kabu!  and you tell the story wo well... I love reading you, its like when I was a little girl and sat to hear the stories my 3rd grade teacher ( a beautiful woman like you) used to tell us.  She had such a flair for making us feel like we were there,  seeing rather than hearing, what she was narrating.  You have that gift too, Its really an adventure into your past and you  take us along for the ride.  Bravo !!! Great work!!!
