Today, thanks to Ike, the temp was in the 80's and I reveled in the coolness.....and the feeling that Fall would soon be here.....my favorite season. How wonderful to log on and find this beautiful haiku and wrap myself in even more of the feeling.....someone was right, you really should write more of these.....well, I wish you would; I hardly ever get to write, but I do read and I need something to look forward to

Nautikos, a sunny day not long ago, on a walk near a small lake, I startled a flock of
red-wing blackbirds in the midst of a bed of cattails at lake's edge. They rose as one,
sounding a chorus of protest, but returning and settling in to their business after I passed.
Your haiku made me remember the incident.
