It's democracy at work! The power of the
demos! Do you think it was different in Athens twenty-five hundred years ago?

It is a rather strange situation. Maybe people should demand that only elected persons run the office?

I may be wrong...
...but I'd see that as a sign of weakness on his part, that he can't 'lead' on his own. Of course they'd talk about political issues at home but I'd say keep it in the privacy of their home and stay out of the public eye...seems very unprofessional. I've just witnessed this in a job...totally different field...but the guy couldn't make a decision without wifey in the office with him. In the end he left just before he was to be ousted.

Ethics and public interest - we won't get them from our elected officials
til we demand it, loud and clear..and you're so right about the short road, TAPS. The former sheriff of my hometown is now in Congress and who knows where he'll end up next, lol. Good post; interesting looking mayor..:)

I guess if she keeps an eye on him 24-7 he won't have a chance to
be unduly influenced by cute lobbyists. She must have kept some sneaky deal from going through if folks are that irritated... or maybe I'm just not very trusting. :)pat

Does she offer good advice, at least?? Isn't there a constitutional amendment that separates Home and State? Mal
