I love the way you reminisce about your childhood and youth, and your life on the farm! I think you had a very happy childhood!

What a sweet memory! It often works out that way - a dog is brought into the family and it becomes attached to the woman of the house. They're no dummies.

Kabu...
It is great how our pets can tell us in so many ways that they are happy to be part of our lives without even being able to voice actual words. They show it in their appealing eyes and their continued close affections. Their meow, arf etc. tell us so much, too.
Nice post. I enjoyed reading it this morning. Kabu. Have a nice day.
ps. Thanks for the visit and for the welcome back.

kabu, That's the kind of memories I have about my Dad and his dog, Dopey. Dopey was
supposed to be my baby sister's dog, but he wasn't. He was forever Dad's darling
companion.

I love finding out more and more about you through your gentle and well written posts love. I had a part collie dog like that I named Molly and mother loved her but she had to give her up when I left home because Molly was heart broken with me gone. First female that was ever heart broken by my leaving.
